Overview

Online dating has exploded in the last 10 years and with the creation of smartphones it has exploded even further. Now instead of sitting by your computer using a website you can download an app on your smart phone and search for your next wife or hookup all with a swipe on your mobile device. Unfortunately with all this new technology the dating scams that we have been exposing for years haven't gone away thy simply moved from one technology to another. Now just in instead of dating sites trying to scam you there is a new problem, mobile dating apps are also being used to rip you off. We have done a couple of reviews but not enough to expose all of these new fake dating apps. Today we are reviewing an app called BeWild (Be Wild) which is connected to SnpCupid dating app, and Bang Tonight App, both of which are fake, and both of which that we've done extensive investigations on. If you want to know if BeWild is a scam keep reading below.

The Google Play Store & Apple Store Have Scams & They Have No Clue

Both Google Play and the Apple App Store have a serious problem with dating scams. These cons have been running all year specifically on Google Play. By looking at the dating app Be Wild you would have no clue that it's a scheme to deceive you. It has a rating of 3.6 out of 5 which isn't too bad, it's not the greatest but it's not too bad. But, if this app is indeed a scam why is it possible that they have a decent rating in the Google Play Store? The answer is that they are inflating positive reviews and buying reviews (something is easily found searching on Google) and paying people to post positive reviews.

The Deception Of Positive Reviews

If a web user want to meet girls in his community he starts searching for hookup apps and BeWild pops up. You see it as a 3.6 out of 5 rating so you download the app thinking it might be a decent app because of the good reviews. The only problem here is the positive reviews are all fake!

When we are reading through the reviews it took a little while to find the negative ones we have to keep scrolling down until we saw a bunch of negative reviewsand after that they were mostly bad reviews. It's because the owners of BeWild push down bad reviews by posting positive testimonials. This makes it seem like the app is a good app but in fact really it's all a scam.

How This All Works

How does all of this work? When you start search searching for hookup apps in the Google Play Store one of the apps that comes up in your screen is BeWild. Then you download the app and install it on your phone or your tablet. From there you'll need to create an account and then what happens is you are actually redirected from the dating app to a dating site called MegaHookup.com.

We have known about the MegaHookup.com scam for many, many years and wrote a review on it way back in August 6th 2014, over 3 years ago! This scam site is still running strong and the people behind MegaHookup have figured out how to infiltrate mobile dating by creating phony dating apps that redirect people to their ficticious dating service. Once you are redirected to the Mega Hookup you are asked to fill out information for your dating profile after that you get sent to another page where they're requesting your credit card information to verify your age. This is where the scam really starts.

The 'Free Lifetime / Age Verification' Scam Explained

Below you will see a screenshot that we took on our Android phone circled in red it talks about a 'free lifetime membership' and says it's 100% free, all they need is a valid credit card for age verification. This is all a con job. They're asking for your credit card information not to verify your age but for another reason and that is to charge your credit card obviously! These scammers don't charge your credit card once but three separate times you get charged $39.95 from Megahookup gold, you also get charged $49.61 per month for a mobile access upgrade and also another charge of $49.87 per month from VideoErotic.com. All of these charges will happen if you give them your credit card information to verify your age. How this particular scam has been running in the Google Play Store for many months is hard to understand but it's still there for anyone to see.

The 'free lifetime age verification' scam makes these people almost $140 for every sucker that falls for this fraud. If they get 10 people per month they make $1,400 per month. This scam is massive!

Pretend Profiles Proliferate The Whole Site

The 'free lifetime' scam is not the only thing you need to watch out for. Probably the number one scam on the site is the fact that every single girl on here is not a legitimate member of MegaHookup. These are all fake women. When we say fake we mean that these dating profiles have been fabricated by the staff of Mega Hookup, they are not real people!

Every girl, wether they are super hot, fat or old is not legitimate. They're all fake! Luckily there is an easy way to identify a fake profile on this site. All you need to do is look for a small LS logo that is located at the bottom right hand of the profile. You can take a look at the evidence below. We have three different screenshots of three different profiles circled in red you will see the letters LS. This is an abbreviation for something called a 'Love Star'. A 'Love Star' is a the term that the website gives to the phony profiles that they are responsible for creating.

The really crazy thing about all of this is that they talk about 'Love Stars' on their terms and conditions page (section #10). That's how we know so much about what's really going on. They admit to all of it on their own website!

Phony Instant Messages

Also found in the terms and conditions page (section #10) was the shocking statement that all messages such as instant messages, text messages and email messages are sent from 'Love Stars'. This means that the fake profiles on the site have been designed to send people phony messages. We took a screenshot of just one of the many chat messages that we received on the website. The messages are just another marketing tool used to direct you to the payment page so the can defraud people. If you try to respond back to the messages you can only send two or three messages after that you have to give them your credit card info information as part of their age verification scam with charges you almost $140 per month!

Real Reviews From Unsatisfied Users

Below we have included screenshots, real reviews from undersatisfied users. You can tell a real review from a fake one because they're telling us that they don't like the app. Anyone who thinks that Be Wild is a great app to meet people is obviously being paid to post a positive review.

The screenshot below is from a real reviewer call Trinity Smith. She says 'it's a trap. It tells you that it's completely free yet the last step in creating an account includes having to put in your credit card number. I don't recommend this if you're not comfortable with paying for free services.'

This reviewer gave that one out of five stars saying 'it's a scam that directs you to a different app talking about nudity and credit cards. I believe the only good reviews come from a company that pays for them'. That's exactly what we've been saying is that the positive reviews on the Be Wild app are fake and from paid reviewers.

Matt Lennon another reviewer states that he 'didn't even have the app for 5 hours and his bank sent him a message that his account was temporarily suspended for unusual activity. The first app took off $49.95 and then tried to take out another dollar until the bank cancelled the charge.' Now Matt has to wait for a new credit card because of the Be Wild scam!.

The last review says that he 'immediately uninstall the app! It looks very shady they immediately want to want you to enter your credit card information for a free lifetime at access', and then he goes on the state 'all the girls in my area were 100% fake profiles and it got him spooked so he's calling his credit card company now.'

Wild Dating App Reviews

Popularity609,000 active users Popular
Gender make-upMore menBetter for women

Wild is a hookup dating app where you connect with other likeminded people. The service is semi free, so unlike most other adult apps there's a fair bit you can do before paying.

Getting started on Wild is pretty easy. There are no lengthy forms to fill in. Just download the app, and type in some basic information. You can upload a public photo, as well as private photos. Once set up you can restrict who gets access to your private photos, and give a pass to allow members you're interested in.

Mutual Matches

Smash

Wild works on mutual matches. If you see someone's photo and you like them, then in turn they like you back, you'll be matched. You and your match then have the choice to take things further and connect together. You are allowed limited chat with a mutual match without paying to be a full member.

The downside is that free members are only allowed a limited number of likes. This prevents those who just like everyone they see and hope to get a response back.
A thing to keep in mind is that the matches you get are only as good as the information you add into your settings page. If you're not getting good matches it is worth tweaking and refining your profile. Be clear of your likes and preferences.
Wild isn't supposed to be for relationships. It's just a way for meeting people for a quick fling or just some online saucy chat. Don't expect to find your next spouse there!

Photo verification

To gain credibility and possibly more interest on Wild you can have your photo verified. To do this you first add your chosen photo to your profile. You'll then need to verify the photo by uploading an instant selfie that will be used to check that your photo is actually you. You then wait for them to certify your photo.
Having a certified photo adds some kudos and you should be rewarded with more match interests. Without an approved photo you'll most likely be filtered out of a lot of searches.

VIP

Wild's premium service is called VIP. It costs $29.99 each month. A VIP membership gives you a few extra perks on top. The most useful of these is unlimited messaging. VIPs have no limits on chat requests. They can initiate chats with other members, both free and paid.
Neither do VIPs have any restrictions on liking people, that way they can get many more matches.
Another benefit is being able to use the full range of search filters. This allows you to refine your matches on any number of criteria including physical appearance, activity on the site, and whether or not they have a verified photo.
